Online Petition for Bionic Commando on the Wii: Get The Word Out!!!

Bionic Commando…Wii. Yeah, we here at the CGC think so too (and we're not the only ones by a long shot). Gamers unite; the youth of America may never rock the vote, but let's not let this one slip away.

The Chicago Gamers Club's mantra (one of several actually, as we strive to be as dynamic and fluid as possible) is "Allegiance to good games and good times." Genius, no? As such, we are obligated (and elated) to support any cause that benefits gamers and the gaming industry as a whole.

The Internet buzz surrounding the upcoming PS3 and Xbox 360 revival of the Bionic Commando franchise is impossible to ignore. Suffice it to say, gamers are moderately excited. Top that off with the tactile anticipation over the forthcoming release of Bionic Commando Rearmed, a next-generation remake of the original NES classic that will be available for digital download on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and what you have is a widespread gamer orgasm on the verge of crescendo. Disturbing mental images aside, the collective question on gamers' minds everywhere has been: what about the Wii?

Hint, virtual console is not going to cut it.

So what are gamers to do? In an interview with VideoGamer.com, Ben Judd, Bionic Commando's producer, made it clear that if gamers make some noise, publishers are likely to listen:

"VideoGamer.com: Could the game ever come to the Wii? I'm thinking it might be pretty cool to swing Spencer around with the Wii Remote.

Ben Judd: It will largely depend on what the fans want for the future of Bionic Commando. If the interest is there, of course we want as many people as possible to appreciate this great franchise."

I certainly hope that Capcom is paying attention, because gamers are indeed making some noise.
